At SNIC TECHNOLOGIES, responsibility is reflected in our day-to-day practices — in how we train our teams, design and manufacture our products, manage our resources, and engage with our ecosystem.
Our CSR strategy rests on tangible, measurable actions embedded in our day-to-day operations. Here is an overview.
Our CSR Charter
Our guiding principles toward our employees, partners and the environment are brought together in a charter shared across the entire group.
Training, passing on knowledge and integrating for the long term
We regularly recruit work-study students and apprentices, with the goal of integrating them for the long term. Our portrait series « Generation SNIC » showcases the diversity of their journeys, from internship to V.I.E and on to their first permanent contracts.
Knowledge transfer is also a structured process in its own right, formalised through documented internal materials (machine setup sheets, manufacturing files). Skills are tracked through our ERP system and cross-functional skills matrices.
Valuing Experience and Senior Employment
Our senior employees play an active role in passing on know-how, mentoring and training younger team members. Their loyalty is recognised through seniority-based programs.
We identify roles most exposed to upcoming retirements in order to anticipate our needs, recruit early and organise internal knowledge transfer, ensuring the continuity of skills.
Concretely Reducing Our Environmental Impact
A carbon footprint assessment carried out with an external consultancy, as part of BPI's Decarbonation program, allowed us to evaluate our approach.
Across our sites, we recover heat from our machines to warm our buildings. We have also installed heat pumps in our offices and optimised our real estate portfolio to reduce gas consumption. Waste sorting is structured in partnership with a dedicated provider.
An ISO 14001 certification process is underway to embed these actions for the long term.
Extending Product Lifespan
Rather than systematically replacing, we repair. End-of-life products are collected, refurbished and put back into circulation.
We are also working on eco-design, notably through an ongoing project with SNCF focused on recovering, recycling and refurbishing end-of-life detectors, as part of a circular economy approach.
Optimising Resources and Production
Across our sites, material offcuts are reused and production flows optimised to minimise waste.
On the logistics side, everything is designed to minimise losses: warehouse organisation, optimised storage locations, and the use of QR codes and tablets.
For transport, freight shipments are only triggered when needed. We also favour lower-impact travel options, such as public transport or electric vehicles, charged at our own charging stations.
Building on a Responsible Ecosystem
We engage with local stakeholders to support employment and training, notably with the IUT d'Évry for hosting interns and with the CCI du Val-de-Marne as part of the Ardent project.
More broadly, we are actively involved in industry networks and professional associations within our sector (GIM, FIF, AIIRF).
Our Team Carries Our Values
In a growing group, values serve as our shared compass. They are lived day to day — in how we work, collaborate and make decisions. They are carried by our teams at every level of the company.
To understand their meaning and how they are shared, our leadership team discusses them in this interview.
